ATTENTION! ALL WANNABE DJ'S!

Do you love music? Do you love listening to new kinds of music? Do you love sharing your own collection?

Well then we want you to apply to be a DJ for Z103 CACAW internet radio station!

Currently our base of operations is located on the IRC network Anonnet. (irc.anonnet.org #fm)
If you do not use IRC, we can conduct business through emails and/or skype.

This is a totally free operation (besides rare donations), and will probably stay that way for a very long time.

We are trying to get to the point where we can be streaming 24/7. We need quite a few more to complete this goal.
We need DJ's who are enthusiastic, have a decent sized collection of music, can DJ often, can attract new listeners and keep them interested, and has a good personality.

We accept DJ's from ANY GENRE, including: Rock, Rap, HipHop, Nredcore, Electronica, Drum n Bass, Metal, 8-bit, Mashups. Basically our only restriction is emo.
We will provide the software to DJ, all that you need is a microphone for on air talking, and your music collection.

Z103 has had a long history with Anonymous. It started off as a streaming prank based around #prank on partyvan, which then evolved into #fm at the beginning of Chanology. Since abandoning its Chanology ties, Z103 has tried to distinguish itself as a legitimate internet radio station.
We are looking for people who can help us make this the place to be for people who truly love music.

2) Your timezone.
3) The times (according to your timezone) each day that you woul ost often be available to DJ.
4) Your internet service, upload/download speed.
5) Genre's that you would most often play.
6) Describe your experience with DJ'ing, either over the internet or on terrestrial radio.
7) Describe any expirience you may have with mixing, audio editing, and such skills.

If any of you download music from any site, there's a chance that starting some time in 2010 your government can legally seize and destroy any computer or mobile device with any illegally-downloaded content, thanks to the proposed Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA).
Here's a quote from a leaked summary of a discussion about the proposition.

Later on in the same article it talks about "border measures", and essentially states that if a customs officer suspects you have illegally-downloaded content on your laptop or iPod they can take and search it. OK dear people. I'm desperate, you're my last hope. I'm trying to find a vid (probably 80s) with a guy dressed in white shirt, dark pants, with dark (probably curly) hair. He was playing a keytar (I think it was white), he didn't sing, actually it sounded like one of them progressive\new age stuff (a-la Jean Michel Jarre, but I checked it wasn't him). Misc details is that probably there were some additional musicians on the stage, video quality was quite shitty (live recording, 80s or early 90s), I remember melody it's motiff was something like this: (notes) G-B-D---D#--G# - G-B-D---D#--C... it was purely instrumental, sounded very "dramatic", "intense" or "energetic", quite smooth and fast. Does anyone knows it?
