STAR WARS VS. STAR TREKGO....Star Warrs is a bunch of bullshit fantisy set in space. Full of shitty robots and incest. Where as Star Trek gives a possible human future that is Utopian and full of hope. Its has deep characters that are believable. Star wars is mindless garbage.

This one is easy.The thing is: Star wars is about war. The majority of the characters in star wars know what it entails to be at war, while in star trek its mostly peace and only a very small percentage of the characters would know what to do in a battle situation. Therefor i belive star wars would win.But comparing the franchises is just stupid. its kinda like comparing survivor to lost. Their both on an island.

first few books are...generic medium quality fantasy swill. Enjoyable enough, especially if you're a sick fuck when you get to some of the bits about the sluts in red leather....Any massive army that requires torture and rape of pre-pubescent children to make them into weapons is...amusing. Make them torture rape and kill their own families? Even better. Really. That shit happens. It's talked about, just not described. The Red leather bondage queens that everyone loves? Every one of them that's trained another member of the ranks? Kidnapped a happy young child. Tortured her, raped her, repeatedly, with the pain stick. Killed one parent, and makes the child rape and kill the other. Every single ONE of them. Fucking hilarious that novels which have those girls as the "good guys" got as popular as it did.But as it drags on it gets worse and worse. What in the first book is described in two lines...takes two pages in book eight or nine or ten. I lost track. The TV show is loosely related. And good for fapping, again, read bondage leather chicks and so on. But the plot and writing is even worse than the novels.

I read the comic ten years ago, how the fuck did the movie make everyone think they know the story.
Any of you dumbasses who debate Kirk vs. Picard are dumbasses. The characters are supposed to compliment each other. Picard is supposed to be more of an ambassador and diplomat while Kirk is supposed to be a rough and tumble motherfucker. Also yes the Orginal Series was campy, everything in the 60's was. But Kirk's character started to blossom in the movies. I know I am posting outside the thread but I want this shit where everyone can see it. Also DS9 didn't get good until the Dominion War. Oh Lawd some more shit going down at Quark's bar goddamn riveting! And Voyager was good at the beginning but after that went stale. The only reason to goddamn watch it was T-Pol's ass. And Voyager blew ass and did fuck with the older canon you noobs. Also I hope we all enjoy our hands and see you at the next Trek convention.

I've always like the grim-but-witty characters, they're just more fun to read about.I also like the way Jim Butcher mixes in all sorts of myths, legends, and religions. It's very cool idea, and he manages to pull it off.I read the first one in his other series, but it just isn't nearly as good.
