Anon speaks the truth; DS9 was a snooze-fest for the first few seasons. And while they were all sleeping and maybe Odo making the occasional arrest in the Habitat Ring, Babylon 5 had fucking EPIC WARS going on. Which is why the DS9 producers changed the whole course of the show.

I've read all the books. It's a good series.

I've read them all up to Small Favor, it's one of my favorite series now. Harry Dresden is just a genius character, a great concept. I've always like the grim-but-witty characters, they're just more fun to read about.

I also like the way Jim Butcher mixes in all sorts of myths, legends, and religions. It's very cool idea, and he manages to pull it off.

I read the first one in his other series, but it just isn't nearly as good.

Couldn't finish the first book. Clunky prose made it impossible to engage with anything. Nice characters, nice plot, nice world. Bad writing and it makes no difference.

I dropped acid the first time I saw this flick. Second time I couldn't find any acid so I just smoked some pot. Later I bought the tape. Can't seem to find the disk anywhere but online. I don't think I ever saw Heavey Metal without being stoned. Best animated story I ever saw though.

I give the win to Star Wars, by a wide margin. Disregarding Force vs. Q, the Empire can simply crush the life out of anything it chooses to. Even disregarding the Death Star and other Imperial superweapons, the Empire has a massive edge.

Even if the Federation switched to a war footing, it would still lose. The reason is that they prefer small numbers of large ships. Up until ST 2.0, I never saw a ship fire weapons in salvos, have extensive backup weapons, and I've yet to see fighter, frigate, or destroyer-class ships used in concert with capital-class ships.

The SW universe, on the other hand, recognizes that warfare in space will probably resemble naval warfare in WWII, and added in various sizes and purposes of ships. Sure, the enterprise, with its super-powerful, super-accurate main phaser can shred TIE-Fighters, but the fact remains that all it would take is for three or four TIE bombers to get through, and the Enterprise is fucked. Not to mention that other types of TIEs could be strafing engines, weapons, sensors, etc.
