Pay attention this is FUCKED

The Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement secret proposal was recently leaked and the details makes you wanna yell "FFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU"

If the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement treaty is approved here's what'll happen

Top level record label companies and hollywood studios are pushing for this treaty to go forward who want to so called "prevent illegal downloading and filesharing" by opting in the 3 strikes rule where if you're ACCUSED (not proven accused) 3 times of downloading unauthorized material YOU'LL GET YOUR INTERNET CUT FOR GOOD

draft proposal would require ISPs to police user-generated content, to cut off Internet access for copyright violators, and to remove content that is accused of copyright violation without any proof of actual violation. The chapter also completely prohibits DRM workarounds, even for archiving or retrieving one’s own work. … As it stands, the leaks suggest Internet users around the world are headed for a new regime of IP enforcement — a culture of invasive searches, minimal privacy, guilt until innocence is proven, and measures that would kill our normative behaviors of file-sharing, free software, media downloading, creative remixing, and even certain civil liberties.”

tl;dr. lick ling to view the boring shit.

>>THIS IS FUCKING BULLSHIT

Ooh, boy, you got that right.

What about songs you've downloaded by iTunes? You can't tell them apart from illegally downlaoded songs.

So, they CAN'T go and delete shit off your IPod willy-nilly.

The whole act is only for MASS IMPORTS of material, not a few songs on an ipod.

THE E.U. HAVE SAID THIS. AND THEY HAVE ALSO SAID THEY WILL NOT -- AND CAN NOT -- STOP PEOPLE AT AIRPORTS, PORTS ETC. FOR MORAL AND PRACTICAL REASONS.

YOU ARE ALL PARANOID. CALM DOWN, CHECK YOUR FACTS, ETC.

In response to this post, which I wrote, remember that I still support what you're doing, even if this whole thing about ACTA is B.S., because it proves a point snd creates lulz.

Godspeed, Anons.

you wanted actual information?
http://anonym.to/?http://ec.europa.eu/trade/creating-opportunities/trade-topics/intellectual-property/anti-counterfeiting/
several official documents on there about the ongoing negotiations between all countries that are going for the ACTA agreement.
documents do state that ISP's will become responsible for the content on their network
i.e. isps will be monitoring your internet use and thus will make you responsible for the things you download (because we all know a company doesnt take the blame, it just passes it along to its customers)
these negotations are real and ongoing, as stated on the EU website, next round of negotiations is in mexico and this will be the 6th round of negotiations
all countries involved are eager to put it in practice
it will clean out alot of piracy in antibiotics etc. but it will also alter the internet as we know it if this does come into existence
in response to the post quoted. Wouldn't you rather prevent a law from being passed than protesting an existing law you knew was being made and you didnt like?
i'm just saying... better to prevent than heal no?

Steven Fabrizio is a lawyer for the MPAA. He's leading their lawsuit against Gary Fung of isoHunt, and says some really douchebaggy shit:

Fabrizio is well aware that Fung wont be able to pay millions if isoHunt ends up losing, but the MPAA is patient. “The judgment doesn’t go away. If Gary Fung creates a legitimate website, we’ll be there. If he sells that company for $100 million, we’ll be there. For the rest of his life we’ll be able to pursue that judgment,” the MPAA lawyer told the Financial Post.

Mininova Ordered to Remove All ‘Infringing’ Torrents

Mininova has lost its civil dispute with Dutch anti-piracy outfit BREIN. The judge ruled that Mininova is not directly responsible for any copyright infringement, but ordered it to remove all torrents linging to copyrighted material within three months, or face a penalty of up to 5 million euros.

Mininova were sued this spring by BREIN, an outfit which protects the rights of several large entertainment industry corporations.

Today, the judge ruled that the world’s largest BitTorrent indexer has been ordered to clean up its site and remove all torrents that ling to infringing content.

BREIN’s intention was not to shut down the site. Instead, the organization called for a filter based on infringing keywords and possibly digital fingerprints to guarantee that the rights holders have sufficient means to protect their content.

Mininova limits its activities to Content Distribution service
Published on November 26, 2009 in Mininova-related news. 4,380 Comments

Hi all,

Today is an important day in the history of Mininova. From now on, we are limiting Mininova.org to our Content Distribution service. By doing so, we comply with the ruling of the Court of Utrecht of last August.

Update: The Pirate Bay crew told TorrentFreak that the site will be back online with 4 new transits tomorrow. The current downtime is not (only) related to the routing issue, but rather with the new hosting company. Everything should be back to normal soon.

That is the gayest fucking shit I have ever heard of. Even if someone uses your IP to torrent some shit you can be fined. Never mind that in addition to being all Nazi-fied and shit, this is technically impossible to enforce.

Also, this deserves the same treatment the Ausfags got over their internet filtering.

you can crack 60+% of french ISP wifi box (an then router config as all use default password) and the fuck up everyone setting up torrent seeders at expense of your neighboors :D

Pic Semi-Related... basis of this plan, google 'printer illegally downloads'.

Yo /tpb/ fags... I'm fed up with seeing time wasted on SODD attacks and a few website graffiti jobs, it's not effective nor does it make a point in my eyes... I haven't got the kinks out of this idea yet but surely it's a starting point?

My Plan is simple, play as many Anti-pirate groups (and their lawyer fags) off against each other as much as possible. Using their servers, office machine or even their home wireless access points we deliberately set them up to look as if they're offending.

Supposedly we already know the IPs used by Anti-Pirate firms so if we deliberately set the targets to share with these machines we'll be in good stead.

Any mode of attack is welcome...

Break access to a server so you can send HTTP requests to trackers.

I like this idea too.

In France a company have been chosen by the governement to spy tracker's users. The name of the company is EXTELIA and their websites has already been SODD.

The name of their CEO:

  • Eric BENOLAUT

We need some dox and I will can go, crack his wifi, print a lot of funny pages (sort of blackprint I guess)!

There are another names :

  • Directeur Mobile Services : David MEYER
  • Directeur Banques et Assurances : Jean-Marc VAUGUIER
