How much trouble, say month to month, does anonymous and like minded individuals, cause Scientology? /b/ is constantly being attacked and taken down, so why can't the same happen with the co$ websites and whatnot. If anon was strong enough, and willing, we could be damaging them on a day to day basis.
Is the problem in no-shows at protest's, or just a lack of organization of everyone?

I would count your blessings that people who were recruited off of the chans from a year ago are still involved in this at all.

The thing with /b/ will be fixed and who ever started it won't be around to continue it in the same way or have the same effect, but chanology will.

Are you really sad that protests are only 10-20 people instead of hundreds like 3-15? Fuck off then. Every protest campaign numbers dwindle like what's happened in chanology and chances are those 10-20 protesters are the same ones that did 90% of the hard work a year ago anyways. People have lives, they have to move or get involved with other interests and can't devout as much or any time as they used too. The chans was probably the worst place to recruit protesters for the long haul, because no matter how much people try to stick the protest label to anonymous, "anonymous" with it's short attention span, and lack of organization from day one, was never a protest "group", but a party "group".

The weird part of this is that those 10-20 protesters that are still around in each cell still annoy scifags the same amount as the hundreds used too.

Did you notice that some cells have stabilized into groups with the stamina to last years? Do you value quality of the raiders more then the quantity?

tl;dr : Anon is just as annoying to scifags today as they used to be 17 months ago.

>> No.50165

Even that being said, the entire legion is definitely still rallied against the scifags, but the majority hit them pretty hard, got some lulz, and walked away. They'd still be down for spreading anti-scientology dox and clips, but it would have to be bigger than anything ever. If there was a major infiltration that exposed the scilons completely without being too lengthy, (say a fence jump into gold) Online Anonymous would gobble it up like swine in a soup factory.

Want to get online Anonymous back into the protest: Beat Agent pubit.

Well, don't expect someone else to do it, you have to get right to it! Only you can make sure a good job is done!

"Beat Agent pubit"

who's agent pubit?

>> No.50185

A combination of lacking lulz and the vocal protestations of moralfags worried about the image of Anonymous are what drove a lot of people away. Some, myself included, occasionally dip back or do 'something' to take up cult time and resources.

Yeah, I've gone inactive for the most parts in organized chanology, but I also contribute from time to time, but more often than not I cannot even be arsed to share it anymore, I just do it for my own personal lulz.

But the day where lulz is once again to be had, I'll be there in full force.

Call me opportunistic, cause that's what I am.

I'm doing exactly what you're doing, /b/rother. No one knows I'm still in Chanology. I don't fucking post jack shit for people to know I'm still effective.

Part of that whole problem was we created this shitstorm vortex that sucked in huge numbers of people who'd previously known nothing about *chans or Anonymous. What happened was Anon stopped on a dime and shifted to legal tactics with a good public image for tactical reasons which pissed off this in it purely for immediate lulz. The ones in for more epic results and who had a shred of common sense knew we'd have to reform Anon's reputation, which was mostly being griefers and whatever Fox11 said. This was hilarious because Anonymous was anything but righteous moral crusaders. Then the huge mass of non-anon took it 100% seriously that we're all decent law-abiding citizens with house payments and no deviancy whatsoever. On the other end were retards who thought Anonymous was some badass club that'd help them feel big and important and able to hack the myspace of bullies and girls who rejected them. Neither group knew wtf was going on.

We needed to maintain an image not because we're innocent but just because it's absolutely fucking hilarious to watch frustrated scifags be unable to do what they normally do, which is make every critic out to be a naziterroristchildrapistbigot. It was a PR war we started and thus it was necessary, but it made it infinitely funnier. Those who didn't get this, moralfags and hatefags, were both stupid and took themselves far too goddamned seriously which is why they didn't get the joke. The rest of us realized that offering "delicious cake" to pedestrians as the justice brigade would produce sustainable lulz. Acting like retared fucking internet "terrorists" i.e. being dipshits from *chan pissing people off would not be funny and would get a lot of us v&.

Public image is still necessary. We know this is a vicious pyramid scheme, but most know nothing about their crimes except Travolta, Cruise, and Holme's wacky religion, and only know us as weirdos in masks. Maybe they watched Fox's stories and know us as that. If we want to do actual damage to the cult then we need to expose the bastards for what they are without letting them paint us as just hackers on steroids.

tl;dr pic related, meditate on the picture to achieve zen awareness of why more lulz come from maintaining public image

Good analysis. Also, it's good that we started one of America's favorite crazes ("lolcats," uurrgghh) and that the media often mentions this.

You are still getting new people in though. I knew Scientology was a cult but I never knew what I could do about it or even that it was starting to get a hold in my local area. I've found a local cell now thanks to Chanology being mentioned on /b/ and I'm in for the long haul.

this is by far, the most engaging, thought filled thread in /xenu in a very very long time.
kudo's and respect to OP for saying what's on everyone's mind.
I encourage anyone reading this to continue on with your opinions.

I belong to a local chapter myself. And I can proudly say they have moved locations because of the consistent butthurt we lay on them.
