I'm just going to blather, can't really think strait to organize this better;
Chanology started as a blaze, an inferno that scorched scientologies percieved invulnerability. It seemed to come out of nowhere and ripped the cult several new assholes in it's 18 months of life. We've caused so much damage, anonymous aren't just labeled with the standard "sp", we have our own definition, a seperate and higher one.

Now that inferno that once was chanology is small fires and embers. There is ash everwhere, the earth scorched, the tubes we orginially set out to save are saved, most of the damage we could realistically do, it would seem has already been done. Is this a reason to stop? No, not really, don't stop me now, I'm still having a good time, having a good time....

Make no mistake that if chanology ended tomorrow, it would be labeled as a success. 15,000+ people have participated in atleast one raid/protest on 6 different continents in over 100 different cities. They all felt that the cause was there wether they really felt morally about it or they were just bored that weekend. Doesn't matter, eventually most have left. The ones who continued to have fun stayed. This is normal for any protest group, let alone one that orginally was just a flash mob mostly recruited from *chan, and SA.

Some of us are doing more things in the shadows now, fighting Co$ with every press release they do, and less and less IRL action. I keep in touch with my cell, sometimes go to globals, sometimes go to miniraids, I exchange notes, and have some fun. I could do most of what I'm doing for chanology with or without any other active anons in my city no problem. I know I'm not the only one who acts like this.

You want to recruit a new wave of people and get people back who've left without waiting for scientology to fuck up again? That's the trick. The original explosion of energy and curiosity that started chanology will not be able to be reproduced or won't happen for a long time. A massive recruitment drive then? That appeals to the normal internet user/demographic/lulz fag. Massive advertisements/videos/OC messages on the *chans, SA, other forums, jewtube, irc etc. Make a website for this as well, like the Sea Arrrgh. It's a lot of work, maybe too much for a small group to complete, but maybe possible over the course of several months.

However, as someone who went to the >9,000 man "march"/sit in shade in DC (400+anons) and almost a year later at the West Coast CCHR event(60+ anons), while these big venues/dates caused alot of anons from the shadows to come out and raid once more, they didn't give them that orginal drive to continue to raid. Recruit new members? Possibily, though since neither event was advertised broadly to even register with our best demographics/*chan/SA/random flash mobber, I don't think they were that effective as recruitment tools. I feel that maybe in addition to the same recruit tactics like overloading youtube with videos, starting threads in *chan or SA or X forum, setting up websites, irc chats or having a large regional raid. We need to do something different as well. Something new, to mix with the old. Paid Ads? Graffiti? I don't know, just something new, something that can help drum up hype with everything. Something that will motivate people to get involved.

I also feel we can't wait for scientology to fuck up again, actions need to be taken now. Chanology isn't going away. Monthly (and plenty of flash/miniraids) are still held in Seattle, Portland, etc. Yes, the numbers are lower than they used to be. I personally think that a lot of the anons in the beginning were looking for a hookup. When they didn't find one, they bawwed and left. Then after a while people got burned out, and more left. New people have joined. New people are still joining.

I go to raids to have fun, and at the same time be somewhat srs bsns. If people ask why, or ask about the abuses, I tell them. Otherwise I'm singing you are a pirate or never gonna give you up, and just having fun eating bacon cookies. We mostly have fun, and have moments of srs bsns.

Masks are for lulz, as well as protection from harassment by the CoS. They'll still harass you, though not nearly as much as last year. They're trying to come up with ways to dismantle us, as we are dismantling them.

It can't be all srs bsns because you burn out way too fast, and it gets BORING. But it can't be all fun and lulz because then nothing gets done. You can, indeed, have both, but lean moar toward fun and lulz.

In terms of a specific plan, one gigantic global sounds awesome! A date that people can plan for so they can actually make it, and a significant date so that people will be attracted to it. Otherwise, do your part in notifying your local news stations and newspapers about the recent news that has come out (such as the 11 more defectors coming forward in the SP times). Maybe even call them up and say "Hey, there's a protest this day if you want a story to cover."

All in all, we can't call it quits till the job's done. Massive recruitment won't help things, it'll bring in tons of newfaggotry and facepalming. Everyone was a newfag at one point, and I still am a little bit of a newfag still to Chanology (just started this year), but I've done my research, talked to oldfags, etc. and know enough. Keep forwarding press stories, they'll spread. And as they spread, you'll see results. More and more people are becoming aware. Our goal isn't to get the entire public knowledgeable. Some people just don't care. Others appreciate the knowledge and go home knowing they've learned something interesting.

For me, victory means seeing David Miscavige removed from his position, and seeing the CoS either reform completely and be more like Free Zone, or go bankrupt. As more and more ex-scientologists speak out, it'll get wider coverage. It's already looking like a snowball effect. It started with two, now eleven more. We'll see what's next, we just need to have a little patience and stick with it. It's only once a month we have globals, but it sends a message to Scientology saying "We're still here." We don't necessarily need tons of flash raids, though they're fun. Once a month isn't too often, I'm sure that 99% of us can at least manage that as we have the past year and a half.

tl;dr: We have lower numbers, new people are still joining. Keep it mostly fun and lulz, but have a little bit of time for srs bsns as well. Spread the news articles to other news sources, and just stick with it.

Your family won't talk to you if you just up and walk the fuck off and you have no fucking money at all.

Besides the fact that you signed up for this. The Sea Org is really a rough and tumble group of people. Think religious marine corps for an idea of the level of faith and camaraderie we have. You signed up for this and nobody ever said it was going to be easy.

Eventually you snap. Too much pressure. One too many times getting reamed. One too many times seeing someone locked up in a chicken wire cage. One too many times realizing there is no long, overarching plan, just cope, cope, cope.

And you break. You give up and puss out and they give you $500.00 and a kick in the ass. One thing a buddy told me when I was leaving: "Keep your hands up in front of you out there. Because when you fall nobody is going to catch you." True statement, guise. You feel wretched, like a failure on a spiritual level. It took me half a year before I was fucking the first girl who smiled at me nice and doing meth every damn day. I had never done drugs before, I didn't even know what meth was. But it made me feel better and that was enough.

Long post but it's a complicated issue. My brother is a simple person. He is one of those happy wanderers who goes through life thinking the best of everything and never delving too deep.
